Founded in  2004, Duo Nocturne  was created as a form of wearable art with a focus on the importance of self expression.  Inspired by our travels, by quality and uniqueness, our true desire is for our bags to be wearable sculpture.  To identify the wearer as someone who doesn’t follow trends, but creates their own story. The name ‘Duo Nocturne” implies a touch of darkness, yet a feeling of solidarity.  “Amor vincit omnita’  ‘love conquers all” is the moto for our company and for our lives.

Our first line of leather bags is inspired by the history of the North American west, by the art of travel and by art itself.  We believe that art is not just something you hang on your wall or view in a museum.  Art is all encompassing.  It’s the way you live your life.  The music you listen to, the way you dress, the people and the objects you surround yourself with, your experiences. 

Our bags are handcrafted one at a time by artisans, with attention paid to every detail. The tooling on each bag is done by hand, making each bag a unique sculptural work of art.  The leather used for tooling is thick and of a very high quality.  These bags will get better with age and will become a sculptural record of your travels and experiences.  No matter where you travel, to and from work or half way around the world, be yourself and express yourself!
